Prayer Fuel

Prayer and Worship

This week’s prayer fuel is a 15-Minute Video Prayer Guide. The text from the video is below if you prefer to use the text without the video.

God, you are worthy of all our worship and praise. You are the creator of all things. Let us worship you through Psalms.

Psalm 19:1-2

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.

The skies display his craftsmanship.

Day after day they continue to speak;

Night after night they make him known.

Psalm 96:1-4

Sing to the LORD a new song;

Sing to the LORD all the earth.

Declare his glory among the nations,

His marvelous deeds among all peoples.

For great is the LORD and most worthy

of praise;

he is to be feared above all gods.

Psalm 16.5-9

The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;

you hold my lot.

The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;

indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;

in the night also my heart instructs me.

I have set the Lord always before me;

because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices;

my flesh also dwells secure.

The following prayer is based on the Puritan prayer, God’s Cause.

Sovereign God,

Your cause, not my own, engages my heart.

And I ask that you let your kingdom come

In every place where Satan reigns.

To bring honor to your name is my heart’s desire.

And when you bring glory to yourself, I will rejoice.

I adore that you are God,

I long that others should know it, feel it,

and rejoice in it.

O that everyone might love and praise you,

that you might have all the glory

from the entire world.

Please tear down any barrier that stops sinners

from knowing you, the only true God.

You can do anything, O Lord, and this cause is yours.

And it is to your glory that all be saved.

So Lord, I say, use me however you want.

But, let your kingdom come.

Let the knowledge of your glory fill the earth.

What a glorious day it will be when millions come to Jesus!

May you let me see it.

But Lord, let me never tire of this cause.

Let my heart always break for those who do not know you.

Let me even be willing to die so that others may know you;

And while I live, let me work for you.

Whether I am strong or weak, let me give you all I have.

It is for your cause and your kingdom that I long, not my own.

God, hear my prayer.

Benediction

“Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,  equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21)

Praying as a group?

Leading others in prayer is a great step in making disciples. We want to celebrate your and their faithfulness. For each person that prays with you, we will add 15 minutes to the 3.4 days of prayer committed so far.

How many prayed today (including yourself)?
